Overview
For more than four decades I've worked at the intersection of technology, business strategy, wireless communications, venture growth, and government technology programs.
Along the way I've helped launch new technologies, build strategic partnerships, raise growth capital, advise Fortune 500 companies, support Department of Defense programs, and serve as an expert witness in complex technology disputes.
Today I help attorneys understand the business realities behind technologies, transactions, and decisions that often become central issues in litigation.
My Background
My career has taken me from the launch of the IBM PC to the commercialization of emerging technologies, the creation of one of America's first public Wi-Fi networks, strategic transactions involving multinational companies, venture-backed growth, and consulting engagements supporting senior leaders within the Department of Defense.
Those experiences have given me a practical understanding of how technology businesses are built, how markets develop, how strategic decisions are made, and why disagreements sometimes evolve into litigation.
Throughout this site I draw upon those real-world experiences rather than hypothetical examples or academic case studies.
What You'll Find Here
The videos and articles on this site explore topics including:
- Wireless communications
- Technology commercialization
- Strategic partnerships
- Venture capital and growth financing
- Government technology programs
Each insight is drawn from an actual engagement, transaction, or leadership experience spanning more than forty years.
My objective is not simply to explain technology, but to explain the business decisions that determine whether technologies succeed, partnerships endure, companies grow, or disputes arise.
Why This Matters in Litigation
Many technology disputes involve far more than engineering.
They involve commercialization, strategic relationships, market adoption, investment decisions, licensing, procurement, management judgment, and business strategy.
Having worked directly in those environments, I help attorneys provide business context that complements technical testimony and helps judges, juries, arbitrators, and counsel understand how and why critical decisions were made.
